Mark Your Calendars! eon at Lindbergh, located in South Buckhead, is hosting an Earth Day Celebration at the Sales Gallery located at 520 Main Street in the new Lindbergh City Center off Piedmont Road. The event, which will be held Tuesday, April 22, will be a fun-filled day complete with food, prizes, and lots of guests to speak about how easy it is to incorporate a variety of green practices into our everyday lives. Developed by The Dawson Company and Lane Company, eon at Lindbergh is one of the first communities in the Buckhead area to pursue EarthCraft certification but the ‘green’ aspects don’t stop there. Residents of eon will be encouraged to take advantage of the community’s close proximity to the Lindbergh MARTA station, as well as utilize the recycling bins which will be located throughout the community. eon’s Earth Day celebration is just one more way the developers are helping people realize the potential to live as green as possible – without having to ‘work’ at doing so! The Earth Day Celebration at eon will include:
-Organic and fresh-focused catering
-Prize wheel with a variety of ‘green’ prizes
-A ZipCar and representative to discuss the benefits of using ZipCar and how it can help our enviornment
-A representative from Lindbergh’s Pike Family Nursery to show how to grow and maintain an indoor herb garden
-A video and representative from the Piedmont Park Conservancy detailing the future expansion of the park
-Green Market Manager and an Organic Farmer from Piedmont Park demonstrating how to choose and cook organic foods
-A live remote from Dave FM from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
