After many months of construction, The Green House if officially open for your viewing pleasure. A luxury new home built to be completely green, it is the collaborative project of many local businesses, and is open to the public on Wednesdays and Fridays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and also on Saturdays between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Brock Built managed the project and, with the help of numerous Atlanta businesses, the community service project will soon be auctioned off to the highest bidder, with all proceeds benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. So be sure to take advantage of these viewing hours to see if this is a home you could see yourself living in. Many different green features have been incorporated into the green house, providing the lucky homeowner with lower utility bills and unique features not commonly found in other Atlanta new homes. Bidding will begin at $350,000 and the auction is set to take place online from September 17th to October 3rd.
The home is located at 1536 Craftsman Drive, Atlanta, GA 30318. Tours are free and donations to the Children’s Health Care of Atlanta are greatly accepted. Even if you are not in the market to bid on this spectacular green built home, it won’t hurt to take a look at the Green House, because that way you may just learn more about how to make your home more eco-friendly. If you would like more information about the Green house be sure to check out the prime-time TV special that will air on WSB-TV on September 17th.
This looks like a really nice house and it’s a great concept.
I only wish you had a “virtual” tour for those of us who find it too inconvenient to get to Atlanta to see it in person!
