Atlanta’s most exciting green building project is one step closer to completion as Thomas Concrete and Blaine Aldridge have poured the foundation. Here at Green Built Blog, we love to give you construction updates on the Brock Built Green House because Atlanta is proud of these vendors and sponsors that are working so hard to raise money for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. We expect to see many milestones passed throughout these summer months as we work hard to keep the anticipated September completion date.
With the foundation done, we can move on to more fun and exciting construction phases, like putting up the frame. The upcoming construction will really help us be able to see the house come together and learn exactly what steps need to be taken to make a house environmentally-friendly. Hopefully many Atlanta homebuilders, and national homebuilders for that matter, will see that it is not too expensive to make green building choices when building new homes and that the advantages are limitless.
